I am currently studying toward a degree in Communication and have a strong passion for connecting with people and sharing ideas through meaningful communication. I enjoy taking complex ideas and turning them into clear and engaging messages that people can easily understand.
One of my greatest passions is language and culture. Portuguese is my native language, and being multilingual allows me to connect with people from different backgrounds. My Christian faith is an important part of who I am and guides the way I approach life with integrity, kindness, and purpose.
When I’m not studying, I enjoy exploring creative ideas and having meaningful conversations. And if there’s tea involved, even better because honestly, some of the best ideas start with a good cup of tea.
In my heritage stamp design honoring Nelson Mandela, I intentionally applied the principles of visual hierarchy contrast, size, spacing, alignment, and patterns to guide the viewer's eye, emphasize key symbolic elements, and create a cohesive, impactful tribute to his legacy of reconciliation, courage, and unity in South Africa.
I chose the heart thumbnail because it represents the emotional core of my personal brand: empathy, creativity, and boldness. It stood out among my sketches for its simplicity and potential to be refined into a clean, versatile design that could work across digital and physical contexts. To refine it, I digitized the heart using Canva, smoothing its edges and enhancing its shape with clean lines and subtle shading. I applied a complementary color scheme, a rich red paired with teal accents, to create strong visual contrast and emotional warmth. Design principles guided every step: alignment ensured the heart was centered and balanced; contrast made the red pop against a neutral background; and unity tied together supporting elements, such as stars and curves, to reinforce the heart’s central message. The result is a bold, clear sticker that feels both personal and professional.
